BIOGRAFY

For years now Mirco Guardabassi has met and discussed

his art with other artists and has had the

possibility of exhibiting in various art spaces around the world.

He believes wholeheartedly

in his work and in the particular approach he has.
The art of suture is the way in which this artist expresses himself

by applying

it to painting, sculpture, installations and video art.
He is an "artist who accepts the challenges that arise, creating

"joint ventures"

with other very unique and unlikely artists.
Guardabassi has carved out a particular niche for himself which is easily

identifiable through his "suture paintings"; exhibiting

in many major museums and galleries throughout Europe

and the Americas.

The art of suture should be interpreted, according

to the artist, purely from a "sexology" point of view, his study

of human sexual behavior.

This is what Guardabassi confronts daily thus inserting

female forms which are "stitched" in his work.
